Mandir Unit Design in Kolkata
A mandir is the one unit where craft matters more than trend — it is looked at closely, every day, by people who notice a badly finished edge.
The approach
What goes into a mandir unit from us.
This is the work our family has done longest: carved jaali screens, teak and mahogany detailing, a stone or Corian base that takes oil and water without staining, and lighting warm enough to feel like a diya rather than a spotlight.

Included as standard
- Vastu-conscious placement and orientation guidance
- Wall-mounted, floor-standing or fully enclosed configuration
- Hand-carved jaali screens and pillar detailing
- Marble, granite or Corian base that resists oil and water
- Warm 2700K lighting, concealed within the canopy
- Storage drawers for pooja articles and samagri
- Bell, kalash and toran mounting provision
- Shutter or curtain closure for the enclosed variants
- Anti-termite treatment on all timber components
- Installation and finishing on site

Questions
Mandir Unit — the questions we get asked.
- The north-east corner is traditionally preferred, with the person praying facing east or north. We work with your family's practice and the flat's actual plan.
- A wall-mounted unit generally runs ₹28,000 to ₹55,000. Carved teak units with a marble base and storage fall between ₹55,000 and ₹1.3 lakh, and a fully enclosed pooja room with detailed carving goes above that.
- Teak — it carves cleanly, resists termites, and does not warp with the daily heat of a lamp. Mahogany and sheesham are good alternatives.
